The data descriptor paper for the Treatment and Wildfire Interagency Geodatabase (TWIG) is now published in Scientific Data, a journal of Nature, and an “open-access, online-only journal for descriptions of scientifically valuable datasets.”
Data Descriptor Paper:
TWIG is a new database that combines fuel treatment data from multiple systems of record, making them easily accessible and interpretable. TWIG aims to provide the most complete nationwide database of fuel treatments, offering a wide range of land management, policymaking, and research applications. The paper published in Scientific Data serves to describe the data included in TWIG, where the data was pulled from, the code used to create TWIG, and the paper serves as the source authors should cite when referencing TWIG or using TWIG data.
