NMFWRI has built a NM Fire Hub template that is quick to set up and share critical fire and post-fire information with impacted communities and local, State, Tribal, and Federal governments. It can be modified to fit the specific needs of New Mexico communities.
The template has information on:
Local, State, and Federal support;
Resources for before, during, and after a fire;
Alerts, social media links, maps, videos, and events;
An optional restricted page for agency and responder coordination and links to instructions.
ArcGIS Hub is a collaboration and community engagement platform with a widget-based builder. It supports maps, links, videos, data collection and visualization, surveys, and event calendars. Hub was used to support the 2022 Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon (HPCC) fire to ensure critical information was shared with the community and that agencies could share restricted data. The HPCC Post-fire Resources Hub continues to be maintained and updated, serving as an example of the possibilities for Fire Hub template use in other communities.
