2022 and 2024 HPCC Burn Scar Viewer
Within the Hermit’s Peak-Calf Canyon (HPCC) Burn Scar, this viewer compares NAIP Color-infrared (CIR) aerial imagery collected in summer 2022 and 2024. The 2022 image (the year of the fire) is on the left and the 2024 image is on the right. Color-infrared (CIR) aerial imagery – often called “false color” imagery because it renders the scene in colors not normally seen by the human eye – is widely used for interpretation of natural resources.
Live vegetation appears red. Burned features appear black.
