NM Vegetation Treatment Map Updated

NMFWRI’s New Mexico Vegetation Treatment geodatabase was updated to the ESRI Web Experience Builder web app format in January 2026.  This upgrade keeps the app up-to-date with current web GIS technologies and gives it a new modern interface while still providing the same useful data and tools.

The January 2026 version of the database was published with new treatment projects added from the US Forest Service, New Mexico Forestry Division, Bureau of Land Management, National Parks Service and US Fish and Wildlife. Data layers for drinking water sources and drinking water intakes from the NM Environment Department were added to the web app as part of the update.  To date the geodatabase has detailed information on over 54,000 projects across New Mexico. Over this past year it had 243,000 Geodatabase service hits and 2,200+ Website visits.
