Welcome to Wildfire and Watershed Simulations. The simulation games here are meant to help in a fun way build an understanding of how fires impact forests, watersheds, and communities. In addition, there are links to other resources to help you learn how to reduce wildfire risks and why some fires are beneficial.
The first game is the Forest Fire Home Hazard Sim. Through the game, you can learn some of the ways to reduce the risk of wildfires to your house and other structures. The game was developed in collaboration with students in the Highlands University Media Arts and Technology department.
Over time, working with Highlands University students, NMFWRI plans to develop more simulations. We welcome feedback. Please let us know what you think.
