NMFWRI revisits monitoring plots after fires to collect post-fire data. Fore example, post-fire monitoring data has been collected on long-term monitoring sites within the 2022 Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon burn scar, an effort the monitoring team began in 2022. Revisiting plots and taking new data after fires allow for comparison of untreated sites and treated sites, which will inform an improved understanding of treatment effectiveness and longevity.
